Mr. Charles R. “Chuck” Ashelman II, age 53, of Gloversville, died Monday evening, August 25, 2014 at Mountain Valley Hospice, Gloversville.

Born May 10, 1961 in Bedford, Ohio, he was the beloved husband of Christina, father of Ashley (Mike), Vanessa, Michelle, Joeliz, Joseph and cherished dog Max. He was the son of Dianna (deceased) and Charles Ashelman, Sr. (Anita); brother of Sandra (Pete) Chupka; son-in-law of Nicole and Robert Fyan and brother-in-law of Bob Fyan (Sherri). Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, cousins and many dear friends.

Chuck enjoyed a long career with the New York State Insurance Fund where he developed extraordinary friendships with co-workers. He hosted his own “life party” in May with family and friends.

At Chuck’s request there will be no services held. Chuck had a very special connection with the outdoors; please enjoy a walk through nature in his memory.
