Deviney Rites To Be Held Tomorrow
John Paul Deviney, 48, of the St. Patrick's community, died Saturday night at the Atchison hospital where he had been a patient since April 24.
Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. tomorrow at St. Patrick's church with the Rev. Matthew Hall officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The rosary will be recited tonight at 8 at Hauroff - Buis funeral home.
Mr. Deviney was born Sept 23, 1908, in the St. Patrick's community where he lived all his life. He was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Diviney.
he is survived by two sisters, Capt. Ruth Deviney, army nurse at El Paso, Texas, and Mrs. Harley Yocum, Atchison, a brother, Harold Deviney, Atchison, and two nephews, Dennis and Richard Deviney and niece Kathy Deviney.
Dan and Tom Ernzen, Leo Harrison, Jake Weber, Pete Pickman and Henry Lee will be pallbearers.
