(Place of burial is merely a convenience for the sake of creating a memorial; it is where most of the references to Philip Stephy's family take place.) Jonas Lyons married the daughter of Philip & Eliz. Stephy on July 12, 1832, and the couple had two children shortly before his death in September 1835 (said by descendants to have occurred from an accident on the farm). His widow, their toddler and an infant then joined the Stephys that very November when they moved to Clay Township, Wayne County, Indiana. Following Phoebe's remarriage in Indiana, Jonas Lyons' children are referenced in the Clark household on the 1840 and 1850 Censuses and the 1856 Census of Iowa.
