Many of the coffins were identified with chalk , and heavy rain washed the marking away , so they were reburied in this cemetery as unknown soldiers , and the list of lost names was recorded. Served as a Private in Company G of the 7th Kentucky Infantry . Died of disease in the Jackson Black General hospital in Memphis , Tennessee .
