Daughter of Oren DeMoss and Maude Barnes.

Wife of John "Hansen."

[FHL 1983907.]

NB: no middle name given in record.

Not found in 1910 family census.

A 1915 newspaper notice had mentioned "Mrs. S. J. Barnes" of Shelbyville Missouri had visited her daughter Mrs. Oren DeMoss in Monroe City Missouri, due to Mrs. DeMoss' illness.

A very brief 1918 newspaper notice for a Shelbina Missouri column stated Oren DeMoss was moving to Hannibal Missouri. (Perhaps it meant Mrs. DeMoss?)

Mr. DeMoss, a molder at a machine works, is listed as residing in Quincy Illinois in 1920, along with six DeMoss children. Cleatice is not among those listed in the Quincy Illinois household.

In 1920 Mrs. DeMoss is found in a separate federal census, listed as head of household and as a "widow," with daughters Elnora and Cleatrice DeMoss. (Name mis-transcribed in typed record as "Clentian.")

The three resided in 1920 in Hannibal Missouri. There is also a married male boarder, C. W. King, 50, whose job is listed as assistant restaurant proprietor. Mrs. DeMoss' job is listed (in original record; mis-transcribed in typed record) as proprietress of a dining room.
