Sgt. Wardlaw, a native of Alexander, Kan., was a resident of the county for 27 years and served 20 years in the corps, including duty during World War II and the Korean War. After retiring in 1958, he worked for the Postal Service for 17 years.
Survivors include his wife, Frances; a son, Winston Marchman of Virginia Beach, Va.; three sisters, Melba Hanson of San Diego, Agnes Couch of Denver and Opal Nelson of Kansas; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
