The son of Truman and Ava (Casey) Thomas was born on October 22, 1944 in Parthenon, Arkansas.
Joe was a member of the Class B State Championship team for Jasper and was very proud of their accomplishments.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by 4 siblings, Betty Sue Gabbert of Compton, Arkansas, Jack Thomas of Lee's Summit, Missouri, Ann Stewart of Nixa, Missouri and John Thomas of Blue Springs, Missouri; many nieces and nephews and many other family and friends who will mourn his passing.
