Martha Gardner Parrott Waters, age 90, of Louisville, formerly of Springfield, passed away at 10:15 a.m., Friday, July 14, 2017 at the Lexington Country Place in Lexington.
A native of Washington County, she was born on February 17, 1927 to the late George Daniel, Sr. and Otie Catlett Parrott.
She was a member of the Ninth and O Baptist Church, a 1945 graduate of Springfield High School and a 1947 graduate of St. Catharine College.
Preceding her in death was her husband, Charles Waters on April 26, 2004 and a brother, James Lloyd Parrott on May 21, 2004.
Survivors include: a brother, George D. Parrott (Chattie) of Lexington; a nephew, Dan Parrott (Shannon) of Nicholasville; a niece, Martha Watts (Larry) of Versailles; two great-nieces, Jessica Greene and Shelby Parrott and a great-nephew, Patrick Watts.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, July 17, on Cemetery Hill in Springfield with Rev. Clay Stevens, pastor of the Springfield Presbyterian Church, officiating.
There will be no visitation.
Carey & Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
