Roscoe Robert (Robbie) Alford, 83 of Amarillo, passed away on Monday, June 14, 2021. Services will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, June 21, at the Central Baptist Church in Amarillo. Burial will follow at Westlawn Memorial Park at 2:00 p.m. under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors.

Robbie was born on May 11, 1938 in Portales, New Mexico, to Roscoe Randolph and Icie Stigall Alford. He has lived in the area since 1964, coming from Artesia, New Mexico. Robbie retired from Phillips Petroleum Company as a Chemical Engineer. He married Betty Taylor on November 3, 1987. Robbie loved to read his Bible and was a member of Central Baptist Church in Amarillo. One of his greatest joys was playing Wahoo with family members.

He was preceded in death by his father in 1972 and mother in 1982, his wife, Betty, his son, Roger Reed and his great-granddaughter, Emma Beatrice Cantrell.
