Although she was a resident of Love County most of her life, Martha drove a school bus in Burleson, TX for 16 years. In her free time, she enjoyed dancing, listening to classic country music, and fishing.
Preceding her in death were her parents; stepfather, J.W. Carlile; brother, Johnny Hodges; sister, Susie Lazos; nephew, Michael Lazos; and grandparents, Ira and Myrtle Hodges and John and Jessie Eakins.
She is survived by two sons, Jerry "J.P." Parsons and wife Becky of Seminole, TX and Josh Parsons and Kati Merritt of Rubottom, OK; brother, Meril Hodges and wife Laray of Healdton, OK; nephew, Lynn Hodges; nieces, Sandra Hodges and Melissa Lazos; great nephew, Cody Lynn Hodges; great nieces, Ashley Hodges and Kayleigh Lazos; three stepgrandchildren; four stepgreat-grandchildren; and numerous cousins.
Serving as casket bearers are Joe Russell, Lynn Hodges, Tony Hodges, Jimmy Williams, Warren Williams, and Gary Westervelt.
