Frances D. "Nam" Creviston Johnson, 98, passed away at home on January 26, 2007 into heaven's side as sweetly as she lived her life. Frances was born on June 28, 1908 at Lake Bay, Washington to William V. and Marie Anna Creviston, and was the granddaugther of the Creviston pioneer family, first settlers at Lake Bay and Longbranch areas on the lower key peninsula in Pierce County. In addition to Longbranch, Frances also made her home for many years in the Port Angeles and Sequim areas before moving to Olympia in 1990. A simple, God-fearing woman, Nam took great pleasure in all God's creation. She loved her family deeply and faced her challenges along the way with remarkable courage and deep humility. She was the dearest friend and grandmother to all who knew her. She was married to Hilmer Z. Johnson and later to Fred Johnson, who preceded her in death, along with her only child, Ebba Johnson Tippett. She is survived by grandson, Warren Stetson, of Olympia, and granddaughter, Laurie Walton (Ken), of Olympia, with whom she made her home for the last 8 years. She also leaves behind 3 great-grandchildren: Tina Blanchard (Steve), Casey Riggle, and Elliott Burke (Selam) and 6 great-great-grandchildren. Special thanks to Retta and Sue, whose Hospice care blessed Nam, and to friends Judy, Arlene and Betty, whose visits meant so much to her. A family graveside memorial will take place at the Sequim View Cemetary in coming days.
