Lewis D. Funk, 91, formerly of Monclova, passed away Thursday, February 8, 2001, in St. Charles/Mercy Hospital. Mr. Funk was a self-employed painter who also worked for the Airway Corporation.
Surviving are his wife, Nancy; daughter, Kathy (Joe) Shull of Millbury; sons, Donald (Clara) Michaels of Texas, Lewis (Jeanne) Funk of Graytown, James Funk; grandson, Bill Collins; granddaughters, Lisa (Bob) Garza, Annette Collins, and Jodie Collins; 10 great grandchildren, and 8 great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Judith Melber and granddaughter, Debra McLaughlin.
Visitation will be held in the Eggleston-Meinert Funeral Home, Woodville Road Chapel, 1111 Woodville Road, on Sunday from 2-9 p.m., where funeral services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in Lake Township Cemetery. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
