Arrived in Townsville NQ in 1910 as a 2yo, aboard "SS Oswestry Grange", with his mother Louisa Toplis nee Frodsham and 6 siblings. Married Louisa Dyson in Townsville in 1934 and was referred to as Louisa Toplis Junior to distinguish her from her mother-in-law.
