Harold was born on December 14, 1946 to Eldon Lewis (Pete) Andrews and Bettie Horton Wood. He graduated from Tucumcari High School in 1965. Harold moved to Michigan to work after graduation and met the love of his life, Bonnie. He was drafted and served in the Army during the Vietnam War. After his service, he returned to Michigan and married Bonnie, on August 3, 1968, and they made their home in Blissfield, Michigan. Harold got her to Texas as soon as he could and they moved to Dalhart in September of 1971. They have made their home here for 46 years and are members of Grace Lutheran Church.

Harold was a truck driver all his life and worked for many different companies. He was the most dedicated employee, never stopped until the job was done, and he always preferred to do the job himself to make sure it was done right. He still worked full time until June 7th. He was diagnosed with Glioblastoma Multiforme on June 21, 2017.

Harold was a loving husband, dad and papa to his family. He would give you his last dollar and the shirt off his back. When he wasn’t on the road working you would see him and his best buddy, Toby, all over town.
