Kenneth Charles Currell, 61, of Holton, KS died Saturday, February 17, 2007 at a Topeka care facility. He was born October 26, 1945 in Seneca, KS, the son of Charles A. and Verda G. Sharp Currell. Kenneth had moved to Holton from Atchison in 1959. He was a resident of Medicalodges Holton, formerly Merry Manor Nursing Home, in Holton, where he patrolled the halls as honorary sheriff for many years. He had also worked at the Jackson County Training Center for a while. He was a member of the Baptist church. Services will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday, February 22, 2007 at the Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Burial will be in Holton Cemetery.
