Harold M. Mosteller Jr., known as Pappy or Dad to all, passed away Wednesday, July 12, 2017, at AristaCare of Loyalsock. He was born in Eldred Twp., a son of Harold M. Sr. and M. Edna Scaife Mosteller.
Harold farmed in Eldred Twp. his entire life, worked the family stand in the former Growers Market and had retired from Forklifts, Inc.
He was a member of the Blooming Grove Historical Society and President of the Quaker Hill Cemetery. He was Treasurer of Northeast Tractor Pull Association and a member of the Trout Run Antique Tractor Association. He was a member of the former Emmanuel Lutheran Church and a current member of the St. James Lutheran Church.
He voted for 50 straight years and was a member of the Lycoming Co. Voter Hall of Fame. He cherished family time, the more kids around him the better.
He was predeceased by his parents; his wife, the former Frances A. Cochran; and brother, David.
He is survived by his sons, James (Jeanne) McElheny, of Williamsport, Donald (Emily) McElheny, of Picture Rocks, and Harold M. (Carrie) Mosteller III; daughters, Tammy (Michael) Deaver and Lori (Dennis) Morse, both of Cogan Station; sisters, Hannah (Lee) Mentzer, of Mechanicsburg and Emily (Tom) McCall, of Fairport, N.Y.; 17 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.
Interment in the Quaker Hill Cemetery.
