Funeral for Marion Edwin Atkinson, a Portland resident for the last 35 years, will be at 1 p.m. Monday at West Lynch Baptist Church with interment following at Northwest Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Atkinson, an employe of the Portland Police Bureau for the last 14 years, died Wednesday at his 11941 SE Market St. home after a long illness. He was born March 8, 1904, in Spokane.
Survivors include the widow, Grace; one son, Shannon, Portland; a daughter, Judith, Portland; three grandchildren; one brother, William, Spokane, and two sisters, Mrs. Lydie Reimer, Seattle, and Mrs. Thelma Guhlke, Priest River, Idaho.
The family requests that remembrances be in the form of contributions to the Oregon Cancer Society.
