WARREN L. COX DEAD

Warren Cox died at his home near Seguin last Thursday morning. He had been alling for three or four years and death came to relieve him of his suffering.
We first met Warren some years ago when we happened to have employment with the same firm at Gridley, Kansas. We found him a hard working man who was always clean in his habits and morals. His intentions were always good and in the game of life he did the best he could to play it accoeding to the most ethical rules. Of late years owing to his ill health he was unable to keep up and do as he wished and he confided to us that it took courage to fight a losing game. This he did without complaint and faced his God with a hopefulness many seemingly more fortunate might envy.

OBITUARY
Warren L. Cox was born in Menard County, Illinois, November 30, 1857, and departed this life near Seguin, Kansas, July 10, 1924, age 66 years, 8 months and 10 days.
He came to Kansas when a young man and was married to Miss Nettie Gorge, of Leavenworth county. To them were born four children: Jay, Ella, Frank and Pearl, all of the Wichita vicinity. In 1889 he was married to Miss Mary Raney, of Cprague, Missouri. To this union ten children were born, Ethel, Essie, Dow, Lina, Laura, Ida, Delila, Roy, Ray, Dorothy, all of this county. He leaves besides his wife and children, twenty-three grandchildren two brothers and one sister to mourn his death. Funeral services were held at the home Friday afternoon in charge of Rev. Flowers; of the Hoxie M. E. church and burial was made in the Hoxie cemetery.
