Frances was born in Daszewice, Poland in 1860. She emigrated to the US in 1884 and married Mateusz Nitka in Jan 1885 about five months after his second wife, Anna Nowak, died. They lived in Eaton Township, in Brown County, Wisconsin where their twelve children were born.
