Caleb Marsh has a grey granite gravestone as shown in the first photo.
Note: I included a photograph of the nearby gravestone for Caleb Marsh's son.
I can't read the first name, although it clearly says "son of Caleb and Mary G. Marsh".
The date of birth is difficult to read, but the date of death is clearly Jan. 2, 1835.
I welcome any information on this person.
Published in the Lockport Daily Journal on Monday September 18, 1865:
"DEATH or CALEB MARSH.—-The duty devolves upon us of chronicling the death of
one of our earliest and moat respected citizens, Caleb Marsh, whose late residence was in the town of Lockport.
Mr. Marsh was one of the very first settlers in the vicinity of Lockport; has witnessed the growth of Western New York, and shared in its prosperity. He leaves a highly respected family and a large circle of friends to lament his loss."
