WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. - Mrs. Grace Hunt Landergren, 91, died at the Sweetbrook Nursing Home, Williamstown, MA on Monday, April 26, 1982. She was a native of Interlaken.
She was he widow of Thomas J. Landergren.
She graduated from Interlaken High School and attended Cornell University.
For 32 years she was associated with Grace Bennett Landergren in the Cornell Cafeteria in Washington, D.C., first as manager, then partner, and finally as owner. After retirement, she returned to Interlaken and then moved to Williamstown in 1969.
She helped found and was president of the Interlaken Historical Society. She was active in the Hinman Library and Interlaken Grange. She was a member, and past matron of the Bethlehem Chapter, OES, in Washington, D.C., and was member of the Mountain Chapter OES in Williamstown. In Williamstown, she also was a member of the First Congregational Church, Williamstown Grange, Friendship Club and the Hoosac Valley Button Club.
She was survived by one daughter, Elizabeth Phillips of Williamstown; one grandson, David Carlington of Portland, Ore.; one granddaughter, Sandra Westie of Williamstown; one great-granddaughter, Jennifer Westie; one sister, Jennie Hunt, Seneca Nursing Home, Waterloo; and two nieces and a nephew.
