Mrs. Sally Hamner, 79 years old, died Sunday afternoon at a local sanitarium. She was a resident of Gibsland for many years and was well-known in Louisiana, having family connections throughout the state. Moving to Shreveport seven years ago, she made her home with her son, Dr. C. E. Hamner, at 1712 Fairfield avenue. Besides Doctor Hamner two other sons, Blanchard Hamner of this city and H. O. Hamner, of Mansfield, survive. Funeral services will be held at 3 o'clock Monday afternoon at Mount Lebanon, near Gibsland under the direction of the Wellman Undertaking company. The funeral cortege will leave her at noon. Interment will be in Mount Lebanon cemetery.
