Joe Dell Silvers, 84 years of age, departed this life on Wednesday, July 5th, 2017 at the Somerset Nursing and Rehabilitation Facility.

Joe was born in Quinton, Kentucky on October 23rd, 1932, son of the late Joe Bradley Silvers and Myrtle "Myrtie" Thompson Silvers. Joe was owner and operator of Silvers Somerset Oil. He was of the Baptist faith, and enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

Joe was survived by one son, Michael Dell Silvers; one daughter, Patricia Ann (and Shawn) Stratmann; one sister, Lorraine (and Eugene) Turpen; six grandchildren, Danielle Smith, Amber Hogue, Linsey Silvers, Miranda Silvers, Kailey Silvers, and Lacey Silvers; three step-grandchildren, Ashleigh Stratmann, Rebecca Durham, and Christopher Stratmann; three great-grandchildren, Cayden Hogue, Cody Hogue, and Savannah Roberts; and a host of other family and friends who mourn his passing.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Joe Bradley Silvers, who departed this life on November 3rd, 1966 and Myrtie Silvers, who departed this life on May 20th, 1972; his loving wife, Lillie Ann Burns Silvers, whom he married on July 1st, 1957 and who departed this life on April 11th, 2017; five brothers, Lester Silvers, Hubert Silvers, Chester Silvers, Martie Silvers, and Everett Silvers; and one sister, Lena Flynn.

Visitations were held from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 8th, 2017 at the Somerset Undertaking Company and Crematory in Somerset, Kentucky.

Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 8th, 2017 in the Chapel of the Somerset Undertaking Company and Crematory with Bro. David Muse officiating.

His pallbearers were: Jimmy Silvers, Jackie Silvers, Gary Turpin, Curtis Silvers, Jr., Bob Silvers, and Joe Duncan.

Interment followed in the Quinton Cemetery in Bronston, Kentucky.
