Carrie Mundy, 77, Elwood, died Sunday, March 21, 2010 at Community Parkview Care Center after an extended illness. She was born May 30, 1932 in Lee County, Va. the daughter of the late Charles Crusenberry and the late Rebecca (Woodard) Crusenberry. She married Floyd L. Mundy April 25, 1954. He passed away March 21, 2000. She retired from Park 100 Food in Tipton and worked at Essex Wire. Carrie loved spending time with her family and will be greatly missed. She also enjoyed gardening. Survivors include daughters, Alesa Basey of Elwood, Theresa (Mike) Troutman of Elwood, and Sharon (Jerry) Bryant of Cicero; sons, Mark (Debbie) Mundy of Elwood, Jeff (Kelly) Mundy of Elwood and Gary (Shirley) Mundy of Martinsville; special nephew, Charles Woodard; 17 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; brothers, Hubert, Willard, Clifford and Ruben Crusenberry; sisters Ora Pennington, Jeanette Crusenberry and Goldie Woodard and special cousin, Mae Kitner. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 24, 2010 at Dunnichay Funeral Home, with the Rev. Roger Gardner officiating. Burial will follow in the Elwood City Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
