Glen Willis Kunz, 81, of 256 East 2nd North, Green River, was pronounced dead on Monday, Feb. 7, 2000, shortly after his arrival at Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County. Kunz had been in ill health for the past six months.
He was a resident of Green River for 31 years and former resident of Montpelier, Idaho.
He was born on Sept. 18, 1918, in Montpelier, the son of the late Orlando Louis and Sylvia Kunz. Kunz attended schools in Montpelier.
Kunz served during world War II in the United States Army. He worked as a hoist operator for Allied Chemical for 15 years until his retirement in August of 1984.
Kunz was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was also a member of the F.O. Eagles No. 2350 and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
He is survived by three sons, Randy Passey of Medford, ore., Kevin Kunz of Champlin, Minn., and Clay Kunz of Green River; one daughter, Dona Braswell of Gaithersburg, Md.; one brother, Blaine Kunz of Montpelier; two sisters, Drusilla Savage of Clackamas, Ore., and Delitha Dunker of Pocatello, Idaho; eight grandchildren, Julie, Dustin and Adam Passey, Dylan, and Joe Kunz and Nathanial, Jacob and Spenser Braswell; and one aunt, Ivy Jensen.
Kunz was preceded in death by his parents.
The body was taken to Montpelier for services and interment.
