JACOB L. CRAMER
Jacob Luther Cramer, 74, a Mt. Solon lumber dealer, died Monday (March 23, 1964) at Rockingham Memorial Hospital.
He was the son of the late Ambrose and Lucinda Catherine Hise Cramer and was born Dec. 17, 1889 at Mt. Solon. Mr. Cramer was associated with his brother in the operation of Cramer Lumber Co. until his death. He was a member of the Lutheran Church.
Mr. Cramer served overseas with the Corps of Army Engineers during World War I.
He was twice married. His first wife, the former Aletha Florence Moneymaker, died in 1931. In 1952, he married Mary Agnes Jerome, who survives.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by the three children, Charles Robert Cramer of Mt. Solon, Mrs. Andrew J. Sprouse, of Arlington; and Mrs. Lester L. Stearn, of Rt. 2, Harrisonburg, and two grandchildren.
He also leaves three sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Armentrout of Mt. Solon and Mrs. Mary Sgiafoose and Mrs. Meddie L. Lancaster, both of Elkton, and three brothers, George C., Harry S., and John A. Cramer, all of Mt. Solon.
Funeral services will be held at two p.m. Wednesday at the Mt. Zion E.U.B. Church by the Rev. Carl Hinkle and the Rev. J. Raymond Carlton. Burial will be in the adjacent cemetery.
Pallbearers will be D. K. and M. R. Lough, Frederick M. Argenbright, Rodney A. Andrews, Troy W. Michael and Wayman Rawley.
Honorary pallbearers will be Paul Stabus, Doyle Michael, Harry Sheffer, D. D. Withers, T. C. Craun, Sr., Harold Bush, John R. Hicks, J. Marshall Kunkle, E. G. Hanna, Eugene D. Reeves, and C. T. Riddel.
The body was taken to the Cramer home this morning. Relatives and active pallbearers will meet at the home at 1:30 Wednesday.
