He died on February 18, 1947, in Chicopee, Massachusetts and was buried on February 21, 1951.

Bircham Bend Caretaker at One Time With Circus
Barney J. Theriaque of 13 Phoenix St., died Sunday after a brief illness.
He was born in Redford, N. Y. and came to Chicopee Falls 62 years ago. He has resided in Springfield for the last 17 years. He was employed as a caretaker of the Bircham bends Rifle Range, by the city of Springfield, retiring 14 years ago. In his youth, he was employed by several circuses as a strongman and a tumbler. He leaves two daughters, Miss Viola Theriaque, at home, and Mrs. Agnes Lewandos of Springfield, Ernest, George and Gaspar, all of Springfield; one brother, Edward deForest of Webster; two sisters, Mrs. M. L. Corinna Brown and Mrs. Mary Belideau, both of Chicopee Falls, 28 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held at the Frank C. Tylunas funeral home, Chicopee Falls Wednesday, at a time to be announced.
