Alvin "Butch" Harney Jr., age 69, Cynthiana, died Sunday, July 2, 2017 at his residence. Born in Harrison County, January 7, 1948 to the late Alvin Harney Sr. and Stella Katherine Whirls Harney. He was a member of Central Christian Church, enjoyed fishing and was an avid Reds, Wildcats and Bengals fan. Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by a sister, Joan Enlow.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda Brooks Harney; two sons, Darrin Harney, Paris and Jeffery (Heather) Harney, Cynthiana; a daughter, Cynthia Harney, Cynthiana; a sister, Mattie Jean (Benny) Norhcutt, Cynthiana and twelve grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday by Bro. Benny Northcutt with visitation beginning at 11:00 A.M. Burial will be in Pythian Grove Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to Central Christian Church. Active Pallbearers will be Stanley Northcutt, David Burden, Jesse Burden, Zachary Richie, Jackie Lemons and Mike Workman.
