Gainesville, Texas, resident Billy Joe Curnutte, 77, passed away Sunday, June 25, 2017 at Medical City Hospital in Denton. He was born March 17, 1940 to Edith Terry and Richard Curnutte and was reared on a ranch near Nocona Lake. Billy worked at several jobs in Gainesville including BonnaVilla, Wick and Oak Creek Homes, Industrial Models, Sanders Church Furniture and Rotonics Manufacturing, from which he retired.
Survivors include his wife of fifty-one years, Fannie Bell Curnutte of Gainesville; brothers, Curtis Curnutte of Olney and Charlie Curnutte of Vernon and sisters, Patsy Parks of Grandview, and Linda, Lilly and Hazel of Nocona. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Dorthy Roper; and daughter, Kathy Jo Curnutte.
A Memorial Service will be scheduled at a later date. Cremation is under the direction of Meador Funeral Home, Gainesville, Texas
