, 82, of Dennis, passed away at 9:56 a.m., Thursday, June 29, 2017 at the Good Samaritan Society in Parsons.

She was born on June 26, 1935 at Independence, Kansas to Jacob and Thelma (Cadwell) Miller.

Isabell grew up at Columbus, Morehead, and Thayer. She attended country schools and graduated from Thayer High School in 1953.

She and George Henry Fought were married on February 22, 1953 at Independence. He preceded her in death on August 1, 2016.

She worked as a nurse's aide, at Swift Co. in Parsons, as a cook at Head Start in Cherryvale, at the Katy Hospital in Parsons, and at the Labette Health in Parsons as a cook. She retired in 2008.

Isabell loved ceramics, sewing and cooking. She had sewn wedding dresses for her daughters and other family members. She also made wedding cakes and birthday cakes for her family and friends. She cherished every moment she spent with family and loved to attend her family's sporting events and activities.

Isabell volunteered in the summer at Camp Wakonda near Racine, MO where she served as a camp counselor, crafts teacher, and cook and loved the spiritual relationships and fellowship she developed with the youth.

She is survived by her son, George Quincy Fought, and his wife, Kathy of Chelsea, OK; three daughters, Edwina Hambleton, and her husband, Rod of Parsons, Camilla Fought, and her fiance, Ron Veatch, of Cheney, KS, and Radell Sevart, and her husband, Brian of Maize, KS; 15 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; her brother, Dewayne Miller, and his wife, Becky of Oronogo, MO; her sister, Charlott Cruse of Cherryvale; many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by two sons, Robin Fought and Levi Fought; three sisters, Waymeth Ferguson, Donna Lee Miller, and Jeanell Dale.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, July 3, 2017 at the Carson-Wall Funeral Home with Pastors Leslie Brooks and Margie Miller officiating with burial following in the Morehead Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at 1 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.

Memorials are suggested to the Community Crossroads Church and the Good Samaritan Activity Fund and these may be left at or mailed to the funeral home 112 N. 26th St., P.O. Box 942, Parsons, KS 67357.
