Funeral services for Billie Ruth Jones, age 81, of Rusk are scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Monday, July 3, 2017 at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Don Copeland officiating. Burial will follow at Salem Cemetery.
Ms. Jones passed away June 30, 2017 in Rusk.
She was born May 13, 1936 to the late Jessie Howard and Minnie Pearl Jenkins Davenport.
Ms. Jones was a good Christian woman, a hard worker and a good wife and mother. She looked forward to seeing the Lord and loving being with family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Barney Ray Jones, son, Michael Lynn Stanbery and several brothers and sisters.
Survivors include a daughter, Lesia Erickson of Mt. Selman, sister, Lila P. Cameron of New Summerfield, TX, brothers and sisters-in-law, J.D. and Juanita Davenport of Jacksonville, TX, Richard and Pam Davenport of Mixon, TX, John Lee and Sue Davenport of Jacksonville, sister, Christine Davenport of Washington State, sister, Darlene Johnson and her husband of Chandler, TX, ten grandchildren, several great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will include Jack Davenport, Kevin Davenport, Allen Davenport, Jeffery McIntyre, Matthew McIntyre, Thomas McIntyre and Adam Galyeon.
Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Sunday, July 2, 2017 at the funeral home.
