Mrs. Betty Jane Hendon Ghiloni, age 81, of Biloxi, MS, passed away Thursday, June 29, 2017, at her home in Biloxi. Betty was born in Minter City, MS and had been a resident of the Gulf Coast since 1978. She was formerly employed with the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees (I.A.T.S.E.) Locals #674 and #39 for a combined 13 years. In addition, she was a member of Lemoyne Boulevard Baptist Church. Betty lost her family home during Hurricane Katrina; however, while waiting to rebuild, she worked tirelessly with her church cooking for and serving volunteers who came from across the country to rebuild the community. Betty enjoyed spending time with her family and watching her flowers bloom. Finally, Betty was a multiple cancer survivor since 2010 until the Lord called her home. As a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister, Betty will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by her husband, John B. Ghiloni, Sr.; her parents, Daniel and Lilly Hendon; her three sisters; and her six brothers. Survivors include her daughter, Charlotte (David) Hise; son, John (Robyn) Ghiloni, III; her six grandchildren, Bethany Ghiloni (Kris Regan), Brandon (Kandis) Ghiloni, Jacqueline (Byron) Cassidy, David Hise, Jr. "D.J.", Katrina Weems, and Daniel "Cody" Ghiloni; her 12 great grandchildren, Fallon, Blayden, Mazzy, Cameron, Kaylen, Brendon, Parker, Byron Alan, Kelsi, John Brentley, Hunter, and Connor; her three sisters, Jeanette Jaco, Joann Hoda, and Marilyn (Bobby) Perry; her mother-in-law, Eula Eaves; her sister-in-law, Sue Hendon; and her two brothers-in-law, Richard and Norman Eaves. The family would like to express their deep appreciation to Dr. Allison Wall and her staff, as well as the other physicians of the Memorial Oncology Center for their tireless dedication and compassionate care. Visitation will be held Thursday, July 6, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and the funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 7, 2017, all at the Pass Road Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, located at 2511 Pass Road, Biloxi. Interment will follow in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens in Gulfport, MS.
