Benjamin Fore was born in Starke Co. Ohio, October 11th, 1836. He came with his parents to Indiana in 1842. He married Ruth E. Hall on August 2, 1860. This union had four children, three boys and one girl. During the Civil War, Fore was a resident of Boydston Mills, Indiana. He enlisted as a private in company B, 152nd Indiana Infantry on February, 17, 1865. He was mustered out on August 30th, 1865. He was a member of the Bloomingsburg Christian Church. Fore's funeral occurred at the Baptist Church in Mentone Sunday, December 18th 1904.
