KIRKLIN TRAGEDY
One of the Victims Was Well Known in This County.

Friends and relatives in and near Kempton were shocked Saturday evening when they received the sad news of the accidental death of Terry McAlister and Elizabeth Jenkins of Indianapolis. Both were on their way to the home of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer King of near Kirklin, and as they were going through Kirklin were struck by the fast train headed for Chicago. Miss Irene King, the daughter, was soon to have been married and Mr. McAlister and Elizabeth Jenkins were married nearly two months ago, keeping it a secret. McAlister was the nephew of Mr. and Mrs. William Woods of near Kempton and had lived in their home for almost three years when employed as a teacher in the Pickard school. Last year he was a teacher in the Little Jett School west of Frankfort and was also employed to teach again this year.
He was also a cousin of Seward Bristow of Tipton.
Funeral services were held on Monday afternoon at the Moore funeral home in Frankfort.
