Jimmie W. DeVane, age 74, of Dasher passed away Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at Select Specialty Hospital in Tallahassee, Fl after a lengthy illness. He was born on January 15, 1943 in Moultrie, GA to the late Joseph & Goldie (Bruton) DeVane. Mr. DeVane served his country during The Vietnam War in the United States Air Force. He retired from Crackin Good Bakery after more than 30 years of service and also worked as a diesel mechanic. He enjoyed visiting his neighbors, spending time in the outdoors & with his grandchildren.

Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Larry DeVane, sisters, Doris DeVane & Dorothy DeVane.

Survivors Include: Wife of 53 years, Jean DeVane, Dasher, GA; 2 Daughters & Son-in-law: Jenny & Zane Miller, Clyattville, GA , Judy L Atkinson & Bill Floyd, Lake Park, GA; 4 Grandchildren: Blake Green, Amber Patel, Garrett Harris and Zach Floyd; 4 Great Grandchildren: Addison, Skylar, Wyatt & Chandler Wanzie, Good Neighbors, Special Friends and his Crackin Good Bakery Breakfast Club Buddies and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, June 17, 2017 in the Valdosta Chapel of Music Funeral Services with burial to follow in Dasher Cemetery.
