Robert Anderson Jr., 69. died at the Hospice House in Hutchinson, Kansas on June 24, 2017.
He was born on June 13, 1948 in Hutchinson, Kansas to Robert W. Anderson, Sr. and Marianne (Aelmore) Anderson.
Robert was a 1966 graduate of Haven High School and Hutchinson Community College. He served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany. He married Jolene R. Albright on June 4, 1971 in Haven, Kansas. They were married for forty six years prior to his death.
Robert was a retired Superintendent of Grede Foundries, Inc. in Wichita, Kansas. He was an outdoors person and enjoyed hiking and camping. He enjoyed being outside and took great pride in caring for the yard and all things of nature. He was a wonderful family man and deeply loved them. Robert was a former member of the Board of Education in Sedgwick and a member of the Sedgwick United Methodist Church
He is survived by his wife: Jolene Anderson; children: Lisa Matson, Brian and Erika Anderson, and Lori and Jack Kasney; two siblings: Bruce Anderson and Becky Kahmeyer and eight grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Robert and Marianne Anderson.
A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 28th, at the Sedgwick United Methodist Church in Sedgwick, Kansas. A family gathering and visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Sedgwick United Methodist Church on Tuesday, June 27th with the family present. An inurnment will be held following the service at the Sedgwick Cemetery in rural Sedgwick, Kansas.
