George Washington Jr was the son of George Washington and Hannah (nee Houston) Faunce.

George married Clara (nee Doughty) Hand. They would have a daughter, Clara (Wylan, Snovel). George and Clara would divorce (?) sometime before 1895. Clara died in 1911 in Philadelphia and is buried at North Cedar Hill Cemetery. Her obit states she was the "wife of George W. Faunce Jr".

George married Katherine Josephine (nee Cooper) Smith in 1895, probably in New Jersey, where they would live. They had two children, Georgene Lillian (Seig) and Harry Alexander. George would not return to Philadelphia until after both Clara and Katherine passed away.
