Mrs. Feeney Dies Friday
Mrs. Catherine Feeney, 74, of 29 Fairview Avenue, widow of James P. Feeney, died at 2 a.m. Friday in Oil City Hospital, following a short illness. Born in Oil City, January 19, 1896, she was a daughter of the late Patrick J. and Elizabeth Flynn Callahan. She was educated in St. Joseph School, was a lifelong member of St. Joseph Church and was a member of St. Joseph Rosary Society for many years. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Betty Connelly of Oil City; two sons, Robert E. Fenney of Oil City, and Donald E. Fenney of Oil City; seven grandchildren and a great-grandchild; and two sisters, Mrs. Helen McCain and Mrs. Genevieve Faller of Oil City. A brother and three sisters are deceased. Friends may call any time after 2 p.m. today at Joseph Reinsel Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today and Sunday. Requiem mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday in St. Joseph Church. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
