Dorothy Lee Howell, 79, of Streetman, Texas, passed away at home on Monday afternoon, June 26, 2017. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, June 29, 2017, at the funeral home. Services will be at 10 a.m., Friday, June 30, 2017, at First Baptist Church of Streetman with Bro. Ed Ridge officiating. Burial will follow in Birdston Cemetery.
Dorothy Lee was born in Broken Bow, Oklahoma, to the late Clyde and Louise Bounds. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Streetman. Dorothy enjoyed gardening and cooking.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Eldron Suggs; and sister, Viola Thurman.
Survivors include her husband, Hulen Howell; sons: Charles Sikes and wife, Tonia, Thomas Sikes, and Carlton Howell; daughter, Doris Van Dyke; grandchildren: Christina and Shane Wright, Spring and Bobby Powell, Bradley Van Dyke, Jason Van Dyke, Charles "Bubba" Sikes, Jr. and Josh and Melissa Sikes; 12 great-grandchildren; brothers: JT Bounds, Herman Brewer, Henry Suggs, and Eldrige Suggs; nephews, John David Grubbs and Bill Grubbs; other relatives and many friends.
