She was preceded in death by her brother, Eldron Suggs; and sister, Viola Thurman.
Survivors include her husband, Hulen Howell; sons: Charles Sikes and wife, Tonia, Thomas Sikes, and Carlton Howell; daughter, Doris Van Dyke; grandchildren: Christina and Shane Wright, Spring and Bobby Powell, Bradley Van Dyke, Jason Van Dyke, Charles "Bubba" Sikes, Jr. and Josh and Melissa Sikes; 12 great-grandchildren; brothers: JT Bounds, Herman Brewer, Henry Suggs, and Eldrige Suggs; nephews, John David Grubbs and Bill Grubbs; other relatives and many friends.
