Cecil Wayne Sparks, a resident of Henryetta, passed away Saturday, June 24, 2017 in Fort Gibson, OK at the age of 76. He was born September 8, 1940 in Checotah, OK to Raymond Cecil Sparks & Alice Gray (Pennington) Sparks.

Cecil proudly served the United States from 1958-1961 in the US NAVY. He received the National Defense Service Medal and the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal for his service.

He was baptized at the Dewar First Baptist Church where he was a longtime member. He was a member of the Elks Lodge in Okmulgee, Oklahoma.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Alice Sparks, his brother, Johnny Sparks and by his wife, Linda Sparks.

Cecil is survived by his two sons, Gary Sparks & wife Lynn of Fort Gibson,
and Jeff Sparks and wife Amy of Kearney, Missouri,
grandchildren include, Ashley Hancock & husband Curtis of Fort Gibson,
Kelli Carpenter & husband Coby of Fort Gibson,
Sarah Lively & husband Levi of Broken Arrow,
Hailey Sparks of Fort Gibson, Oklahoma,
Baylee Brame of Kearney, Missouri,
and Taylor Sparks of Kearney,
four great grandchildren, Parker Hancock of Fort Gibson,
Charlee Carpenter of Fort Gibson,
Jackson Lively of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma,
and Oliver Brame of Kearney, Missouri,
sister, Wilma Sprouse & husband John of Dewar, Oklahoma,
nephew, Tony Sprouse of Denver, Colorado,
niece, Sherri Whitlow & husband Mike of Dewar,
as well as a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services are scheduled for Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at 10:00am., at Integrity Chapel with Rev. Jack Vance, officiating. Interment will follow at Council Hill Cemetery.
