Mary Elizabeth Dowdle, 89, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, June 25, 2017. Mary was born on March 7, 1928, in Peachland, North Carolina.

She married Clarence Blackburn from North Carolina. Together they had 2 children, Rita and Rebecca Diane 'Susie'. Later they divorced, then she moved to Idaho in 1960.

She married Wade Flowers (from North Carolina) in 1961 and together they had 1 child, Wade Jr.

Later she was widowed, then married J.D. Dowdle of Blackfoot, Idaho in 1977. J.D. passed away in 1990 and she never remarried.

Mary was an avid reader and loved to do crossword puzzles. Mary enjoyed traveling and gardening.

She was preceded in death by her father, Blumer Jack Horne, and mother, Bessie Beadle Caudle, 7 siblings, and 1 daughter, Rebecca 'Susie' (Robert) Diane Oxford.

She is survived by 1, Rita (Gary) French of Bakersfield, California, and 1 son, Wade (Sherry) Flowers of Pocatello, Idaho, 10 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.

Family will be holding private graveside services at Restlawn Memorial Cemetery.
