Ruby Lee Hudson, 91 of Midland, passed away on Saturday, June 24, 2017.

Graveside services will be at Resthaven Memorial Park on Tuesday, June 27, 2017, at 10:00am with Bro. Bob Porterfield officiating.

Ruby was born on October 31, 1925 in Albany, Texas to Willie Houston and Ethel Louise (Clepper) Bounds.

She worked as a bookkeeper for many years and loved her work. Most recently, Ruby worked with JLH Enterprises and earned the nicknames “The Cookie Lady” and “Queen of the Junkyard”. She was a favorite amongst the customers and employees because of her amazing personality.

Ruby also loved spending her spare time baking, both for others and her family.

She grew up loving horses and made sure her children grew up with horses, too.

Ruby was an incredible mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend who will be missed by all who knew her.

Ruby is survived by her daughters, Joy Morgan and husband Doyle; Pat Hutto and husband David; and Jan Rose and husband Richard; son, John Lee Hudson; grandchildren, Nikki Morgan and Darry Jones; Kayce Morgan and Michael Finke; Lindsey Rose; Caleb Hudson and wife Sara; and Seth Hudson and wife Alicia; great-grandchildren, Hayden Hudson, Katey Hudson, Jacey Hudson, Kason Rowell, Levi Smischney, Cole Whitefield, Cage Lyneis, Adaline Finke, Jade Marin, Paige Marin, Michael Marin, Ware Hudson, and Lura Hudson; and numerous friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Doyle Wade Morgan; granddaughter, Wednesday Morgan Clark; and grandson, Jason Paul Hudson.

The family would like to express their gratitude towards Ruby’s caregivers, Danyale, Shanell, Heidi, and Julie; the staff of Home Hospice; and everyone that loved Ruby for their kind words and prayers.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Home Hospice or to a charity of choice.
