Linda M. Snider, 72, of Rt. 1, Sparta, died at 7:07 p.m. Feb. 24 at St. John's Regional Health Center, Springfield, after a long illness. Services for Mrs. Snider were held Saturday at the Harris Chapel, Ozark, with Gordon Shields officiating. Burial was in Pembina Cemetery; near Rogersville. Born to John and Eliza (Lawson) Campbell. Married Francis G. Snider. Mrs. Snider resided in Christian County for most of her life. She was a member of the Sparta Church of Christ. Long active in Sparta community affairs, Mrs. Snider was known for organizing fund-raising events. She was preceded in death by her husband, Francis, in 1983. Her survivors include one son, Danny Snider, of Kimberling City; one daughter, Mrs. Wanda Lou Hurd, of Springfield; four grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; two sisters, Muriel Moses and Pearl Campbell, both of Sparta; and several nieces and nephews.
