Clara Suk was born in Minnesota, a daughter of Mathias Gross and Mary Lenzen. She had 11 siblings: Francis A. 1870–1954, Christine 1875–1880, Henry John, Leonard A. 1878–1936, Charles M., George A., Herman J., Magdalena, Mathew, Anna Mary and Raymond.

In 1917 she married Joseph Anthony Suk and in 1920 they were living in Minneapolis. Joseph was a bookkeeper at a milling company and by 1930 an assistant shipping manager there. In 1940 he was working for the U.S. Treasury Department.

They had a son Francis Joseph Suk in 1920 who died July 28, 1932.

Clara came to Sun City in 1961 from Minneapolis.

She was a member of the ladies Sodality at St. Joachim.

Her Arizona obituary stated she was survived by her husband Joseph and her large gravestone has an empty second name space. However, family trees indicate he died in 1952 and this memorial is linked to that Joseph Suk. No newspaper articles or SS Admin records could be found for Joseph's death.
