Wainright, Ga., March 15. -- On March 1, 1906, Mrs. Mary Ann Anderson, one of the oldest ladies of this section passed away at the home of D. F. Anderson of Uptonville, Ga., she being 90 years of age. The day previous to her death she was as well as usual, and was found dead in bed on being summoned to breakfast.
She was the mother of J. A. Courson of Hickox, Ga., J. L. Courson of Lulaton, and C. E. Courson, deceased, of Hickox, and Mrs. Joe Johns, deceased ... [illedgible] ... Joshua Courson, and after his death having married Mr. Vinzant Anderson, reared three children, W. R. Anderson of Winokur, Ga., D. F. Anderson of Uptonville, Ga., and Mrs. B. Morgan of Hickox, Ga, she being the sister to Mrs. Burrel Sweat, deceased, of Waycross, and Alfred and Thomas Sweat, now living at or near Waycross.
The deceased was a member of the Primitive Baptist Church for over 50 years. Her remains were carried to her old home church New Hope at Hickox, Ga. for burial. She leaves a host of relatives and friends to mourn her loss, but what is a loss to us is a gain to her.
So farewell dear old grandmother, we feel assured that you have gone to rest.
