TORREY - Our kind and beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, sister and aunt, Golda "Billie" Taft Bullard, age 91, Torrey, passed away Feb. 4, 2005, in Richfield, from age related causes.

She was born March 26, 1913, in Teasdale, a daughter of Seth Lyman and Nancy Angeline Coleman Taft. She spent most of her childhood in Yakima Valley, Wash.

Billie married David Levi Bullard, Feb. 20, 1930, in Torrey. Their marriage was solemnized in the Manti LDS temple July 9, 1940. She and Levi lived all of their married lives in Wayne County. Levi died Dec. 17, 1980.

Billie later married Clinton John Chidester, Dec. 7, 1991 in Bicknell. They had lived in Richfield until Clint died March 31, 1997. She then moved back to Torrey.

Billie was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and held various positions. She was a member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers. She was a thoughtful and caring person. She was loved by all who knew her. Billie always had a beautiful flower garden. She took fresh flowers to friends and relatives for any occasion. She loved to fish and went fishing every chance she had.

Billie is survived by her children: Jennie Curtis, Torrey; John and Jane Bullard, Sigurd; Cora Mae Taylor, Fremont; daughter-in-law: Darlene B. and Chad Snedeger, Sigurd; six grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 21 great-great-grandchildren; three sisters: Stella Summa, Yakima, Wash.; Bessie VanBevers, Tacoma, Wash.; Margaret and Chet Johnson, Merit, Fla.

She was preceded in death by a son, Francis Levi Bullard; sons-in-law: DeLoyd Curtis and Hyrum Taylor; brothers: Seth Taft and Roderick Taft; sisters: Lily Ruth Taft, Ruby White, Fern Berry, Mae Jacob, Jennie Taft and Helen Taft. Funeral services will be today, Feb. 9, at 1 p.m., in the Torrey LDS ward. Friends may call for viewing at the Springer Turner Funeral Home in Richfield, Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m., and at the ward in Torrey, Wednesday morning from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., prior to the services.

Interment will be in the Teasdale Cemetery under the direction of Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield, Salina and Gunnison.
