He was the husband of the late Shirley Margaret (Clingman) who died in 1995. Born Feb 25 1931 in White Hall, Harford County, Md. he was the son of the late Carroll and Clara (Miller) Almony. He worked on a horse farm in Harford County and then for the last 15 years as a grounds man at Essex Community College. Surviving are six daughters, Elizabeth Duvall of Westminster, Patricia Duvall of Fawn Grove, PA, Sharon Wininger of Dundalk, MD, Robin Morrison of Essex, MD, Tammy Almony of Taneytown, Md, and Doreen Smith and a son Stanley Almony Jr., both of Delta, PA; 17 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren; two sisters, Mary Miller of Knoxville, Tenn. and Gertrude Baublitz of Railroad, PA and a brother, Howard Almony of White Hall. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Katherine Stump. The funeral service will be private and at the convenience of the family. There will be no public visitation, Myers Funeral Home, 91 Willis St., Westminster, is in charge of the funeral arrangements.
