DEATH OF MRS. AMANDA ROBERTS IN CHARLESTON Special to The Journal-Gazette. Charleston, III. May 10. Mrs. Amanda E. Roberts, aged sixty-six, wife of Alpheus Roberts, a retired Morgan township farmer, died at her home, 1521 Jackson street, Friday after a period of suffering lasting for over eighteen months.

Mrs. Roberts, whoso maiden name was Amanda E. Wilkins, was born on a farm near Westfield on October 4, 1852, the daughter of Thomas and Patsey Jane Wilkins. Mr. and Mrs. Roberts were the parents of five children, four of whom survive, Mrs. Daisy Chambers, Mrs. Jessie Courtney and Luther E. Roberts of Morgan township and Harry L. Roberts of Villa Grove.
