BRIDGEPORT — Robert L. Bice, 65, of Bridgeport, passed away Tuesday evening, June 20, 2017, in the United Hospital Center.

He was born in Clarksburg April 22, 1952, a son of Gloria Virginia Ice Bice, who survives in Glovers Gap, WV, and the late John Jacob Bice.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by two brothers, John L. Bice and his wife Sue, Webster, WV, and David Bice and his wife Cheryl, Greensboro, NC; three nieces, Christy Wolverton, Abby Bice and Carrie Bice; two great-nephews, Gabe and Gavin Wolverton; his friends and caregivers, Judy and Dick Douglas; and several cousins, including, Paula Shephard, Nina Burns, Wava Pandolph, Debbie Hughes, Brenda Leigh and Mike Hudkins.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother and sister in infancy.

Bob was a graduate of Bridgeport High School and started working at Union Carbide Corp. in Anmoore in 1973 and had over 43 years of service with them. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and working in his rose garden. He was a member of Bridgeport Church of Christ.

Friends will be received at Burnside Funeral Home, 607 S. Virginia Avenue, Bridgeport, from 2-8 p.m. Friday, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 24, 2017, with Ryan Currey presiding. Interment will follow in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
