John H. Imhoff, 85, carpenter contractor, died today at his home, 2111 E. Dayton St., after a long illness.

Born in Highland Mr. Imhoff had lived in Madison 29 years. He was a member of St. Bernard's Catholic Church, the Holy Name Society, and the Catholic Knights of Wisconsin,

Mr. Imhoff is survived by his wife; four sons, Mathew, Gregory, and James, all of Madison, and Harry, Portage; four daughters, Mrs. John Billings, Portage, and Mrs. Clyde Richards, Mrs. Lawrence Henry, and Mrs. Joseph Keyes, all of Madison; 18 grandchildren; two great grandchildren; three brothers, Charles, Highland, Urban, Madison, and Ignatius, New Albin, Ia.; and three sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Kreul and Mrs. Walter Conroy, both of Highland, and Mrs. Ed Kinney, New Albin, Ia.

Funeral services for John H. Imhoff, 85, of 2111 E. Dayton St., who died Monday, will be held at 8:30 a.m. Thursday at the Ryan funeral home and at 9 at St. Bernard's Catholic Church. Msgr. William Eggers will officiate. Burial will be in the Holy Cross Cemetery.
